These are the two machines everybody ends up comparing. Not because a marketing team decided it — because they're the honest fork in the road. Almost every "versus" post buries this under wattage charts and preset counts. Skip all of that. The decision is smaller and more human than the spec sheet wants you to believe: how many different things do you need to come out of this machine at the same time? The one thing that actually decides it

A note on capacity, because the numbers lie a little. The Ninja's "8 quarts" is two 4-quart baskets, not one 8-quart cavern — so for a single big tray of wedges or a whole spatchcocked chicken, the Cosori's undivided 5.8 quarts is often the roomier one. Bigger total number, smaller single basket. Read the split, not the headline.
Where the Cosori wins
Simplicity, price, and cleanup — the boring virtues that matter every single night.
One basket means one thing to wash and one temperature to think about. It slides out, it survives the dishwasher, and there's no divider trapping crumbs. It's cheaper up front and smaller on the counter. For the person who wants to cook dinner and not manage an appliance, this is the right machine, and I'd tell my own family the same.

And that same independence is what makes it the honest allergen machine — a basket that is only ever the safe basket.
What you pay for it, plainly: more money, a wider footprint, two baskets to wash, and a little more to think about. If you'll use the second zone most nights, that's a fair trade. If you won't, it's a tax.
